The choreographer and trainer Vincent Harisdo is the founder and director of the l’association Center d’Etude Artistique 6ème Parallèle.
Harisdo is trained in classical ballet and jazz. His international training as a dancer and choreographer took place at the Académie de Danse and Bafa Dance in Paris, the Business Williams Wood College in Missouri, with Kevin Jones in Los Angeles, the High School of Performance Art in New York, the Jazz Kompagnie in Rotterdam, the ballet in Geneva, the Rolland Duflot’s company at the Montreal Theater and the Mudra de Maurice Bejart. He also worked as a lecturer at the University of Washington DC, the University of Boston, the University of North Carolina, the University of Ottawa, and the Institute Psychomorics Paris. Due to his migration background, Harisdo is also an expert in regards to voodoo culture and opens up an embodied perspective on contemporary African art productions. His decades of experience as a migrant and choreographer in Europe are reflected in the intercultural competences and sensitivity of his artistic work.
